The other day I decided to have a look at the ingredient lists of many well known, well recognised skin care products and then find out what those ingredients do to your skin and body and I was totally SHOCKED !! This is what I found about some of the ingredients that they used and these are just a fraction of the huge lists of chemicals on major supposedly reputable skin care company’s products:   Parabens These are preservatives used in cosmetics, andskin care products and deodorants. Some researchers suggest that parabens may increase risk of breast cancer, or accelerate the growth of these tumors. Phenoxyethanol Another preservative it can cause shut down of the central nervous system, vomiting and contact dermatitis!! Mineral oil It coats the skin like plastic wrap and inhibits its ability to breathe Also mineral oil attracts needed moisture from cells deep inside your skin. Normal cell development is slowed down and the skin ages prematurely when skin cells are starved of moisture. It also aggravates acne, dermatitis or any type of eczema and it impacts negatively the skin function, causing it to age prematurely. Polycrylamide A stabilizer strongly suspected carcinogen and has been linked to breast tumors PEG (Polyethylene Glycols) They increase the absorption for both good and bad ingredients into deeper parts of skin. In addition, they can decrease the skin’s moisture levels and increase skin aging. Aluminium starch octenysuccinate -is an ingredient used in anti-caking and viscosity increasing agent, It is a chemical that is toxic to the human nervous system and is a suspected developmental neurotoxin. Petroleum based products: e.g petrolatum, mineral oil, paraffin, paraffin oil, paraffin wax. DANGERS: These chemicals are commonly used in cosmetic ingredients are derived from crude oil and may have known or potential cancer causing effects. They coat the skin, clog pores, and interfere with the body's natural ability to eliminate toxins.     Can you believe this?
